How do I move around to the different pages on this site? What software do I need to view this site? How often is this site updated? The Photo Album was supposedly updated, but I'm still seeing the old photos. What's wrong? Who do I contact with questions, problems, or suggestions?
How do I move around to the different pages on this site? The top of every page in our site contains the Troop 46 banner. This banner has several "hot spots" that you can click to move around between the various topics. For example, you clicked on the "Help" hot spot to get to this page. The major topics covered include:
Some pages also have sub-sections which you can get to by clicking on the appropriate button.
What software do I need to view this site? Just about any Java-enabled browser (examples are Microsoft Internet Explorer version 3.0 or later or Netscape Navigator or Communicator versions 3.0 or later) should work sufficiently to view the content on this web site. However, to see all of the content as it was designed (including special effects) you'll need to use Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0 or later. Please note: The photo albums will not display correctly with Microsoft Internet Explorer versions prior to 4.0. If you are using Internet Explorer, please upgrade to the latest release by clicking its icon below. I've also been told that all versions of the America OnLine (AOL) browser have the same problem. Most of the files on the Resources page require Adobe Acrobat Reader to be viewed. For your convenience, you can click on any of the logos below to go to the download site for these products now:
How often is this site updated? Whenever there's something new to say and when I have the time (my employer still insists that I spent at least SOME time working for his benefit). In particular, I'll try to keep the calendar current.
The Photo Album was supposedly updated, but I'm still seeing the old photos. What's wrong? Internet browsers try to work more efficiently by storing files on your local computer rather than always downloading them. This makes the pages appear much faster; but when sites are updated you might not immediately see the new content. Most browsers allow you to "force" the files to be reloaded--thus causing the page to appear properly. To do this with Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0:
Sometimes, you'll have to do this a couple of times before Internet Explorer truly refreshes the page. To fix this problem with Netscape Navigator 4.x, select View, Refresh from the menu bar. You may have to do this for each of the photo album pages.
